Aleksandra Dasala has joined the team at independent SMaRT consultants and DBC founding member, NuXform, bringing over 10 years’ experience in consultancy, research and project management. Before joining NuXform, she was Head of Research for SmartScore at WiredScore and played a role in shaping the smart building certification landscape.
As part of her work at WiredScore, Aleksandra led the innovation and technical development of the SmartScore scorecard, ensuring it remained technically robust whilst forward-looking and adaptable to industry needs. Her expertise in synthesising diverse technical solutions into clear, practical use cases for building users was instrumental in the rapid adoption and global expansion of the SmartScore framework.
Part of her work focused on aligning the scorecard with key standards in cybersecurity, Operations Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, and ESG+R principles to address the evolving demands of modern buildings. She also developed comprehensive technical guides, thought leadership content and training resources to aid major commercial real estate stakeholders in the effective implementation of smart building strategies.
Strategy development forms a key part of Aleksandra’s role with NuXform, where she is actively involved in research, roundtables and panel discussions. She has a keen focus on promoting sustainable environments and transforming legacy building stock into more sustainable and efficient infrastructure. Her commitment to sustainability and innovation drives her to continuously explore new possibilities in the built environment.
In addition, Aleksandra also helped DBC Executive Officer Justin Kirby co-facilite the round table earlier this year that was the catalyst for the DBC’s formation. More recently, Aleks helped coordinate member input on our Working Groups and accompanying best practice guides we launched last month at a workshop at PropTech Connect she kindly helped co-facilitate.
